Communication: Journal Prompt 45 – But not really…

Think of a cause you are passionate about, or a disagreement you have had. Now write about it from the other side’s perspective. Why did they or why are they doing what they are doing? What drives them to do what it is you disagree with? From this point of view can you see any areas where both sides could come to a compromise?

Apparently I missed this prompt.  No I skipped it.  When I first read it, I had no idea what to write about because I haven’t had any disagreements with anyone lately, not that I remember anyway.  So I went on to Journal Prompt 46 and finished that one first.  Now that I’ve come back to it, I still don’t know what to write about in response to this.

Other things happening…

*Happy Valentine’s Day to all the coupled up folks out there.  I hope it all went well and was an enjoyable day.

*Justice Antonin Scalia passed away and before his body was even cold, the political fights began on Twitter about his replacement.  I don’t even think it’s about who the replacement will be, as much as it is about whether or not President Obama should select the replacement or wait and let the next president select the replacement.  The latter is ridiculous.  That’s 11 months from now until the new president is in the White House.  Do people really think President Obama isn’t supposed to do his job for 11 months?  If it was any other topic, they would be complaining that he didn’t do what he was supposed to do, but since they’d rather have him wait so it benefits them, they want him to wait.  Ridiculous.   I know what would happen to me if I didn’t do my job for 11 months.

*61 days left until I need to file my taxes.   Ugh.  I need to get that done in the next 30 days so I’m not stressed and feeling under pressure in April.

*Today was the first Sunday with no NFL football to watch.  That wait for the next 6.5 months until the new season begins seems SO long when you have to endure winter too.   Baseball season will start soon!  A day at the ballpark is always fun.

*Supposed to snow tonight, 3-5 inches.  Luckily we have the day off tomorrow.  But why didn’t I buy the snowblower that I was looking at last week?   Dang the procrastination!  Guess I’ll be shoveling tomorrow—–just what I want to be doing on my last day off until Memorial Day.  Boo!
