Communication: A miscalculation….

It dawned on me today that I should probably check my blog, and I see I am behind with 3 posts!!!  GASP!!!

I was doing so well posting every day only because I have an editorial calendar to stay on track with my prompts.  I try to be at least 3 days ahead so I’m not scrambling to post one day.  Well I went on a cruise from Feb. 28-Mar. 6 and because I knew of my upcoming schedule of course, I completed my prompts for the week that I was on vacation.  Figured I would be good.

But noooooooo……my lesson learned was I should have done an extra week after the cruise week because I forget how out of it I am right after vacation.  You know how your mind is still in chill mode and not ready to jump back into the routine just yet?   Well, that has been me since I got off the ship on Sunday afternoon.

So, if I take another vacation before this year of daily prompts challenge ends on Dec. 31st, I will pay more attention and load up for the week AFTER vacation so there is no gap.

Sorry about that to the people who do read my blog.

Now back to it.   I have to catch up!

  1. I like the journal entries you come up with. Gives me something to do. Some things I need a computer to post on a blog. I know you enjoyed your vacation.

    1. Thanks Jazz. I’m glad you’re reading and responding by answering the questions too….it’s almost like we’re both doing this journal prompt per day. lol And it’s like a new connection with my niece now, through our writing. I’m enjoying that.
Vacation was good….did I tell you guys that I went parasailing?! I couldn’t believe I actually did it. I still can’t believe it. But I do have a video. Ha ha. It’s a horrible video though because I was trying to hold the camera and still keep from falling in the ocean so it’s all over the place, pointed to the sky, horizon was crooked, camera too close to my face, etc. Anyway, I booked the parasailing before I got on the ship because I figured once I got on the ship, I would find an excuse not to do it and chicken out. Once I booked it and had to pay for it, I was definitely going and not wasting my money. It was fun and scary at the same time. Next time I need to figure out a better camera setup for sure.

      1. I bet it was fun and scary all at the same time. Parasailing so so much fun. I wish I could have gone. I want to see the video.I would love to go on a cruise one day just to get away from everything for a while and clear my mind And I’m glad that this is a way for us to connect from a distance. I have tried to keep up with you but you be typing a lot lol.

        1. Ha ha…..yeah once I start going with typing, my fingers can’t stop sometimes.

Yeah that would be cool if you and the girls could come next time….in November. 🙂

          1. Sounds like a plan!! I need to get away. I’ll actually be coming down there in Aug for a friend’s wedding.
